Alice P. Paxton, M.Ed., NCG, CDP, Founder & CEO, has been one of only three Nationally Certified Guardians for Virginia. In 2013, she founded Paladin Life Care to provide exceptional, compassionate care to senior clients and those with disabilities. Alice’s passion for customized, dedicated care for each client is unmatched. It is reflected in every member of the Paladin Life Care Team. In addition to Alice’s leadership role at Paladin Life Care, she is an active member of her community and her church where she volunteers in many capacities and serves meals to those in need. Alice has been honored and humbled to receive numerous awards for her public service.
Emily Duncan, CDP, AFTA, Chief Financial Officer, has more than ten years of advocacy experience. She serves as Trustee, Conservator, Representative Payee, and Power of Attorney for many Paladin Life Care clients. Emily is a strong proponent of client-centered care and the shared decision-making model. She understands that decisions must respect what matters most to clients as individuals. Emily is dedicated to integrating and honoring choices and informed preferences.
Marianne became a member of the Paladin Life Care Team in 2026. With more than 20 years of experience in strategic relationship management, community outreach, and client engagement, Marianne fosters collaborative partnerships that enhance care quality and personal well-being. Her compassionate, solutions-focused approach and cross-functional leadership seamlessly connects clients and care teams with vital resources. Grounded in advocacy and clear communication, she ensures essential care services are coordinated effortlessly.
Dedicated to helping others, Heather joined the Paladin Life Care Team in 2022. Her experience as a behavioral therapist for those with developmental disabilities, combined with her Master’s Degree in Human Services Counseling, serves clients well. Heather is patient, warm, compassionate, and dedicated to clients’ quality of life. She connects well with clients. Before joining the Paladin Life Team in 2022, Heather served as a behavioral therapist and counselor.
Since joining Paladin Life Care in 2024, James Rose has played a key role in coordinating referral sources and ensuring seamless support for clients and their families. He is passionate about helping others. James is pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree in Business. The problem-solving skills he has acquired through his education serve clients well.
Elizabeth joined the Paladin Life Care Team in 2023. She works directly with clients and ensures their medical needs are being met. She is passionate about helping seniors and those with disabilities live their best lives possible. With more than ten years of nursing experience, complemented by her strong communications skills and compassion, Elizabeth’s clients feel well cared for and comfortable. Prior to her position with Paladin Life Care, she was a patient services coordinator, field nurse, and floor nurse.
Caitlin joined the Paladin Life Care Team in 2025. She works closely and collaboratively with clients to make sure that their medical needs are being met. Caitlin is dedicated to helping seniors and those with disabilities enjoy the best lives they can have. With more than ten years of experience in hospital settings, Caitlin provided inpatient and emergency room care. She has developed nursing care plans for numerous patients over the years. Prior to joining Paladin Life Care, Caitlin provided nursing services in large hospital emergency departments and a progressive care unit.
Karry Dinh joined Paladin Life Care in 2026 with more than ten years of diverse nursing experience spanning hospital, community, and private clinic settings. Her clinical background primarily focuses on mental health, acute and chronic care, and psychosocial rehabilitation. Throughout her career, Karry has held key leadership roles in mental health community homes, supported critical public health initiatives like the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, and served as a clinical nurse in preventative primary care. She is deeply passionate about elevating the lives of her clients and making a lasting, positive impact within her community.
Julie Kind, Senior Client Care Manager, joined the Paladin Life Care Team in 2019. She has more than 20 years of experience at diverse for-profit and non-profit organizations of all sizes. Julie is passionate about serving the elderly and disenfranchised. Her strong desire to improve quality of life for individuals shines through in everything Julie does. She has extensive expertise managing all facets of life care including analyzation of circumstances and researching and creating strategies that assist and contribute to a well-rounded quality of life regarding housing, finances, emotional stability, living conditions, and health needs.
Joining the Paladin Life Team in 2023, Annemarie works closely with clients to ensure they are living their best lives now. Her extensive experience as a case manager and social worker provides her with strong attention to detail, compassion, and outstanding communications skills. Annemarie connects well with clients and becomes an integral part of their care team. Prior to joining Paladin Life Care, Annemarie was a case manager with Catholic Charities in Hawaii.
Heather Reis-Platter joined Paladin Life Care in 2025. She has extensive experience in relationship building, problem solving, and navigating complex healthcare systems. Dedicated to providing personalized support to clients and their families, Heather’s expertise in patient care coordination and strategic planning ensures that clients receive the highest quality of service tailored to their specific needs. Heather is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of those she works with and is committed to enhancing the well-being of those she serves.
Michelle Thompson works closely with clients to improve their days and help them live their best lives. Leveraging her previous teaching and writing experience, she implements a compassionate, common-sense approach and helps clients work through challenging situations. Michelle’s ability to engage with clients enables her to effectively assess their needs and create a customized plan of care. Michelle assists with determining appropriate housing options, helping with all aspects of moving, and finding top-quality in-home care. She joined the Paladin Life Care Team in 2020.
Drawing on her extensive finance, budgeting, accounting, and management experience, Kristen is highly qualified to provide clients with the daily money management services they need. She is a trusted expert who connects and works well with clients. Kristen ensures that clients’ funds are spent wisely and most effectively to ensure the long-term viability of their financial support. She joined the Paladin Life Care Team in 2024.
With a strong background in finance, budgeting, and nonprofit operations, Jennifer brings a thoughtful and detail-oriented approach to providing daily money management services. She helps clients organize and manage their financial affairs with accuracy and care. Jennifer joined the Paladin Life Care Team in 2026.
